Anchored provides internship opportunities for students from local universities pursuing a degree in mental health counseling.
Any person within ANCHORED’S service area will have timely access to a screening/assessment to determine needs and eligibility. Individuals who are not eligible for services through ANCHORED will be referred to the appropriate agency for assistance.
The purpose of the initial assessment is to determine individual needs. The severity of those needs, and the service that would best meet those needs. The assessment process involves meeting with a mental health professional between one and two hours. Psychological history, current symptoms and problems impacting life, and level of functioning are assessed to determine the needs of the individual.
